2. Partial phase relationships:

- Any degree relationship other than 0° and 180°

- These will result in some addition or subtraction (Never double and total cancellation)

- During a cycle, they are both ‘in’ and ‘out’ of phase. The final result is depend on how much time has passed during the cycle and how much they spend in or out of phase



▲ (B) begins at 90° of (A) = 90° ⌀ relationship

At 90° to 180° ==> Mostly Additive

: At 180° to 270° ==> Mostly Subtractive
